    02-12-2022: Ten days NSS special winter camp begins at GDC Doda
    A ten days NSS special winter camp was started at GDC Doda which is organized every year by the NSS unit of college. The camp is being organized under the able guidance and patronage of Dr. Attar Singh Kotwal, Principal of the college. The ten day long special camp will be conducted from 2nd December to 11th December 2022. The event began with an inaugural address by Dr. Sumit Kotwal, NSS Programme Officer of the college. He briefed about the various events to be organized during the ten-day long winter camp. He explained about the role of social service in the personality development of an individual and motivated them to do their task with utmost dedication. The participating volunteers will be given certificates after successful completion of the winter camp.
    Thereafter, Prof Ankush Raj, Convener of the college NSS Advisory Committee also shared some beneficial information about the working of NSS unit. His thought-provoking words encouraged every volunteer to perform the assigned tasks with great enthusiasm and sincerity. Further, Dr. Ajaz Ahmed Wani, Vice-Principal of the college also shared some precious words with volunteers. He laid stress on the overall development of volunteers and asked them to focus upon self-discipline and time management. 
    After culmination of this inaugural event, a cleanliness drive was organised in the college playground. During this ten-day long camp, a number of activities shall be organised viz. awareness rally regarding waste management, donation of stationery in nearby school, visit to adopted village Jodhpur, guest lecture on self-employment, debate etc. All these activities are meant to sharpen the overall personality traits of NSS volunteers. Other faculty members who attended this inaugural event included Dr. Jagmohan Sharma, Prof. Imteyaz Ahmed and Prof. Zain-Ul-Abdeen Banday.
