    Govt. Degree College , Doda organised an activity “Message of Gratitude” on National Doctors’ Day

    The NCC , Naval Unit , Govt. Degree College , Doda organised an activity on  National Doctors’ Day. In India , every year, Ist July is observed as National Doctors’ Day in the memory of legendary physician and second Chief Minister of West Bengal Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy , who had his birth and death anniversary on the same day. The day, commemorated by Indian Medical Association (IMA), is dedicated to all the doctors and healthcare workers who have been serving people by risking their lives. So an activity, “Message of Gratitude” was organised.

    The Cadets were asked to express their gratitude towards doctors by sharing their comments , message and Videos  . Students enthusiastically shared their ideas, views and comments . They also prepared a video message and sent their wishes to the doctors on this special day.Later their messages and videos were sent to doctors and healthcare workers of  Doda  .Also a meeting was organized on Google Meet to discuss the SOP's of COVID-19 .

     Mr. Zain Batt , NCC Navy CTO, GDC , Doda  efficiently organised the activity with the help of NCC Naval Wing Cadets .

    Dr. Shafqat Hussain Rafiqi , Principal of the college, lauded the efforts of college staff and volunteers and emphasised upon the importance of such events. He also highlighted the importance of doctors in our lives. He also said doctors are responsible for increased life expectancy and improved well-being in society and though doctors have always played a significant role in the lives of individuals and society as a whole the current pandemic has bought the significance of their role to the forefront. Like a soldier during wartime doctors have gone beyond the call of duty working non-stop to save lives risking their own, especially our government doctors.

     The Cadets who contributed actively in the successful organization of the event include Cadet Randhir , Cadet Joginder , Cadet Aqib Wani .
